MCIA announces new Executive Officer

Medicinal Cannabis Industry Association is pleased to announce that Patty Holmes has been appointed as the new Executive Officer. A pioneer of the Australian medicinal cannabis industry, Patty will succeed Rosemary Richards and assume responsibilities from 1 June 2023.

Rosemary has been instrumental in the establishment and management of the MCIA including governance arrangements, growing the membership base and positioning the MCIA as the peak industry organisation for Australia’s medicinal cannabis industry. Rosemary, through her consulting business, will remain in contact with MCIA for specific projects as appropriate.

Patty is passionate about improving patient access to medicinal cannabis in a flourishing medicinal cannabis industry and looks forward to further driving membership value.

Peter Crock, MCIA Chair said “MCIA thanks Rosemary for her service and dedication to the organisation, and the cause, and wishes her the best for the future. I look forward to working with Patty to continue MCIA’s important work, building on the tremendous foundation that we have established thanks to Rosemary’s guidance and incredible work capacity and ethic”.
